Dopo il commento di Adrian, il quale, codice alla mano, dimostra che le interfacce derivano da Object, ho girato il dubbio ai PM di VB.NET ed ecco la risposta di Paul Vick.

Per quanto riguarda la domanda originale ecco la risposta: “As far as the CLR is concerned, interfaces don't inherit from anything.”
