Il CTO di Opera, in un recente articolo apparso su News.Com sfida gli sviluppatori Microsoft e l'azienda stessa ad portare una completa integrazione dei CSS in Internet Explorer 7.0.
...To the IE 7 developers, I want to say:
You are smart and talented. You know Web standards as well as anyone. You were capable of fixing IE in the past, but your managers didn't let you. You now have a new chance to get it right--don't waste it. Download Acid2 when it's released and get in touch if you think it's unfair for any reason. Resist pressure from management to ship before you are done--spend the extra time it takes.
Forse però qualcuno dovrebbe ricordargli che l'uscita di una nuova versione del browser non comporta l'immediata distruzione di tutti quelli precedenti. In una operazione di integrazione, gli sviluppatori Microsoft avranno ben altre sfide da affrontare, la prima delle quali è l'assicurare la compatibilità con le vecchie versioni di Internet Explorer. Sempre che qualcuno non desideri la rivolta dei webmasters.
