Un pò di cultura fa sempre bene

Mentre stavo facendo la mia lezione al test finale mi sono travata questo brano ... un pezzetto di storia  poco conosciuta della Apple

Steve Wozniak was born in 1950 in San Jose, California. As a child, he loved mathematics and computers, and decided at that time that he wanted to become an engineer. He entered the University of California at Berkeley, where he majored in engineering. However, he decided to leave the university before graduating and started to work for Hewlett-Packard.

While still at Hewlett-Packard, Wozniak met Steve Jobs and together they started the company Apple Computers. There Wozniak, with help from Jobs, invented the first personal computer, the Apple I, in Jobs’ bedroom in 1976. Wozniak soon quit his job at Hewlett-Packard, and became vice-president of research and development at Apple. In 1976, Wozniak finished work on the Apple II computer, which became the best selling computer for five years. Although Apple was to later change the history of computers again with the invention of the Macintosh, Wozniak already left the company because of a plane accident.

When Wozniak left Apple, he was a rich man, with about US $45 million in the bank. He was never very interested in money however, and donated millions of dollars to charity. At that time he started doing volunteer work teaching kindergarten and elementary school children, which he has continued doing until today. He started the Electronic Frontier Foundation, an organization which tries to help define government policy related to freedom and computers. He was the key inventor in the first years of Apple Computer, and has made an important impact on the history of computers. He has said that his main life goals are to be a teacher and an engineer.

..... i mie post tecnici riprenderanno a breve sono troppo impegnata a fare i test ora :)
