Capita che, saltuariamente, venga riportato nell'Event Log di Windows questo errore:

The following information is part of the event: Unable to open shim database version registry key - v2.0.50727.00000.
Non ho trovato molta documentazione al riguardo, ma "Googlando" qua e là, ho trovato un Tip che pare risolvere il problema:
- Aprire il registry editor e posizionarsi sulla chiave HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\.NETFramework\policy\AppPatch
- Qui, creare un nuova sottochiave di nome v2.0.50727.00000
- Modificare le permissions a questa nuova sottochiave in modo che tutti gli utenti possano scrivere al suo interno.
A causa della scarsa documentazione che ho trovato, non so che implicazioni di sicurezza possa avere tutto ciò, ma sembra risolvere il problema.
