The BizTalk Adapter Pack has released and has been successful in providing a single solution for these integration scenarios to SAP, Siebel, and Oracle Databases:
· Enterprise Application Integration with BizTalk Server
· Business Intelligence and Data Mining with SQL Server Integration Services
We want to expand the number of scenarios supported by the BizTalk Adapter Pack to include those required by the Office & SharePoint Developer:
· Pulling business data into SharePoint using the Business Data Catalog
· Accessing business data via custom Web parts in SharePoint
· Integrating Office Business Applications to business applications
· Any other Office and SharePoint scenarios that require access to business applications
Joining this program will provide you access to conference calls with members of the BizTalk Adapter Pack development team, access to private discussion forums, and the ability to report bugs back to Microsoft.
What’s in the BizTalk Adapter Pack?
- SAP Adapter
- ADO.NET Data Provider for SAP
- Siebel Adapter
- ADO.NET Data Provider for Siebel
- Oracle Database Adapter
The BizTalk Adapter Pack is built using the WCF LOB Adapter SDK SP1. This SDK includes the tools need to create solutions for the above scenarios. Some of these tools are:
· LOB Web Service project template for Visual Studio 2005, which is used for creating Web services hosted by IIS and accessed by SharePoint’s Business Data Catalog
· Add Adapter Service Reference wizard, which is used for mining metadata from business applications and adding Web service-like proxies to .NET applications
· WCF Adapter Development wizard, which is used to help start adapter development projects.
