E' interessante notare che dei prodotti Microsoft figuri solo Live Messenger...

C# 3.0 e la parola chiave "var"

Una delle prime cose che ho "scoperto" provando il .NET Framework 3.5 è stata la parola chiave var di C#. Ad essa sono già stati dedicati innumerevoli post, ma voglio comunque citare questo articolo, in cui si dice che cosa non si può fare con var:

Usare Linux con Virtual Server 2005 R2 SP1

Da qualche giorno sono state rilasciate le Virtual Machine Additions for Linux per Virtual Server 2005 R2 SP1, che migliorano la compatibilità del software di virtualizzazione con il sistema operativo del pinguino. Questi i sistemi ufficialmente supportati:

Windows Vista SP1 in beta per tutti

Stando a quanto è riportato sul sito http://msdn2.microsoft.com/it-it/windowsvista/default.aspx, la prima beta pubblica del Service Pack 1 di Windows Vista dovrebbe essere rilasciata a breve:

A Beta release of Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1) will be available in the next few weeks.

Windows Home Server finalmente disponibile

Finalmente l'attesa è terminata:

Windows Home Server, a new solution to help families easily protect, connect and share their digital media and documents, is generally available today.  The HP MediaSmart Server, powered by Windows Home Server software, is now available for pre-order on Amazon.com, Best Buy.com, Buy.com, Circuit City.com and CompUSA.com. It will be shipped to customers and available via other leading retailer Web sites later in November. Additional Microsoft hardware and software partners are also delivering new consumer products and solutions designed to work with Windows Home Server.
